It’s honestly crazy to think they are postponing us from going to school because of this fast spreading virus. I remember watching the news early January and blatantly assuming the virus was put into China to stop the overpopulation. Never did I think it would actually begin to spread throughout countries, and now globally. You read about occurrences like these in history books and sci-fi novels, where a killer virus spreads, forcing all people to find hospice and quarantine themselves in their own homes. It’s honestly unfathomable, but it’s now reality and we need to start taking it seriously, even though my mom is pushing it off. Of course the media is over-hyping the situation, but that’s how they make their money. This is the stuff people want to hear about. But it is still something that shouldn’t be fully joked about.

Born in the pit of the United States in St. Louis, Mo, Selma Hotich is the daughter of refugee parents, and another one of those people who’s strongly convinced they were born in the wrong decade. She’s deeply committed to a relationship surrounding Hot Fries and late-night binges of Rick and Morty to fill the emptiness within her love life. If not strumming her guitar or annoyingly singing the same verse to a song over again, you’ll probably find her driving around West County alongside her twin sister, while blasting Sublime Essential’s on Apple music.
