The start of this whole fiasco has apparently started an anxiety epidemic (to an extent) and I personally don’t know how I feel about that. In my mind, this is something we all ultimately can’t control unless we follow the orders to stay home unless you absolutely need to leave. I get that its a difficult time and many aren’t used to being isolated with people who can annoy the living crap out of you, but make the best out of it. There was a video that surfaced of “rapper” Cardi B breaking down because she was eating dinner at home when she claims she should be eating sushi. There are people dying everyday and others that are hooked on ventilators fighting for their lives, and that’s what she’s ultimately worried about? Another one was of singer Sam Smith having a breakdown over having to stay in his home, but they all live in over 1 million dollar homes with amenities like swimming pools and movie theaters, so they already have it much better than others, and they still choose to cry and pout about it. I think its all very selfish and childish. Inmates in prison are confined to spaces for countless years, and we still have it better than them for being able to stay in our homes with the comfort of our family, good food, and electronics. I understand if people have a diagnosis of anxiety and they ultimately can’t control the way they feel right not, that’s completely understandable. But for others, I think they need to start being grateful for what they have at this time.

Born in the pit of the United States in St. Louis, Mo, Selma Hotich is the daughter of refugee parents, and another one of those people who’s strongly convinced they were born in the wrong decade. She’s deeply committed to a relationship surrounding Hot Fries and late-night binges of Rick and Morty to fill the emptiness within her love life. If not strumming her guitar or annoyingly singing the same verse to a song over again, you’ll probably find her driving around West County alongside her twin sister, while blasting Sublime Essential’s on Apple music.
